Pricing
The hire price is clearly stated on the invoice. All hired goods are subject to transport and handling charges and a security deposit (the latter of which is fully refundable provided no loss/damage to goods hired out by EventRentals.lk (The Kairos Store).
Transport, Delivery, Pick-Up, Drop-Off's
Please refer to the transport options on the Cart page. We currently deliver to Colombo 1-15 and some suburbs.
We do not undertake orders that require carrying items up flights of stairs. For Apartments and rooftops, an adequately sized service elevator that can accommodate the items you’ve ordered should be available.
For larger orders and orders involving heavy items such as furniture, marquees, bars etc., custom transport pricing will be applicable. We will always inform you of transport pricing before confirmation of your final order.
Order pickups from hotels and event locations late night – early morning will be subject to a convenience fee and only on confirmation of possibility by EventRentals.lk. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure all rented products are kept in a safe and secure area.
The price quoted in the cart is for a single order and one 8ftL x 5ftW x 5ftH truck bed capacity. For unconfirmed orders, the transport and labour cost is always an estimate. Any changes to the order items will require a reassessment of transport cost.
For Self Pickup Orders, the return drop-off is to be with a 24 hour period. We do not accept drop-offs after 5pm. For drop-offs on Sundays and public holidays please intimate timings beforehand for us to have staff available to receive and check your returns. We are very flexible, but an intimation is required to keep the process smooth for you and for us!

Ordering, Advance Payments and Confirmation
A 50% non-refundable advance payment is required to secure the booking. Clients will have 14 days from the date the quote is provided to make the payment. If payment is not received during this period, the booking will be released. Once the advance payment is received and cleared, only then will the order be deemed as confirmed. Balance payment is due 7 days prior to event date. All invoices must be paid in full prior to event date. If ordering within 14 days prior to an event the total invoice amount must be paid in full.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is calculated at the discretion of EventRentals.lk (The Kairos Store). The security deposit will be used in the case of items that are damaged or lost. The hirer is responsible to protect all items from the elements, including but not limited to rain, high winds, sun damage, and keep the items secure during the hire period. The hirer must use the items for the purpose and capacity that they were designed. Security deposit refunds will be made within 7 days of the return date of the items, less any repair/replacement charges and late fees. Deposit will be returned via bank transfer only.
A refundable / security deposit will be charged on all orders. The amount will vary depending on order value and breakables.
When a product has been added to the cart, the security deposit will automatically get calculated based on the cart value.
Upon returning items, where there are no damages/breakages, the deposit will be returned in full. The replacement cost of any damages will be deducted from the deposit and the balance returned.
We charge only a fraction of the value of the products as a security deposit and therefore request our customers to be careful, when using the products. However we do understand accidents can happen in the normal course of events. If the total value of damages exceeds the value of the deposit, we kindly ask our esteemed customers to settle the balance when returning the items.
The deposit will be returned on the same day or next working day once returned. All deposits will be returned to a bank account specified by the client.
Please note once products are accepted either on delivery or when you pick up the item, please ensure you check the products rented. Once in your posession, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of the rented products from damage. Any damage to our products whilst in your posession will be the responsibility of the hirer/renter.
Hire Period
Hire period is for one day, unless specified otherwise. Items will be delivered and collected at agreed upon dates and times. If early delivery or next day pick up is required, additional charges will apply.
Cancellation
In the event of a booking cancellation, the advance payment is forfeited. This may be reversed in full or partially at the discretion of The Kairos Store.
Release and Indemnity
The hirer hereby indemnifies and holds indemnified the owner from and against all claims, actions, suits, demands and expenses in any way arising from injury, death, loss of income or damage caused to the hirer or its property, or any other third party or property, in concern to the items hired. The hirer accepts the above Hire Terms and acknowledges that its acceptance is a condition upon paying the deposit and taking possession of any hire items, or services rendered by EventRentals.lk (The Kairos Store).
Damages
Table Linen – Please use mirrors / base plates when placing decor which includes candles and flower arrangements that can stain or damage the linen. Any wax, burns or unremovable stains will be considered as Damages and charged appropriately.
Whilst we have a stringent process to check damages, it is the client’s responsibility to check the items when accepting the rented products. Any damages after accepting the rented products will be attributed to the hirer.
Glassware and crockery. Any damages such as chips, cracks, or complete breakages will be charged at full replacement value. Replacement value is considered as the current market value of a one to one match of the same brand and product specifications. The client may choose to replace with the same physical product else if the product is not available in Sri Lanka, then a reasonable replacement value will be determined by EventRentals.lk.
Whilst we have a stringent multi-step process to check for damages, it is the client’s responsibility to check the items when accepting the rented products. Any damages after accepting the rented products will be attributed to the hirer.
